The latest update to the A+ Points app introduces a very exciting new feature called “Online Community”. With this new feature, parents are able to participate in a forum where they can post about anything related to parenting. They can also comment on posts by other parents. In short, this is truly, an online community for parents.
Everyone right now is going through a difficult time. So I thought it would be a great idea to create a platform for parents to share ideas on how to provide a good environment for children during this difficult time.
What is it?
If you haven’t done so, download the app and setup a new account. To get started with the online community for parents, you will see a new button at the top of the home screen with the label “Online Community”.
The first time you click on this button, the app will ask you to create a nickname that will be visible to other users next to all your posts and comments. You can also upload a profile picture. This is optional, but recommended.
After you create a nickname, and optionally a profile picture, the app will take you to the Online Community page.
This page consists of 3 tabs:
- Topics: This is where you can see a list of all the topics posted by other parents. At the top of this tap is a button that allows you to create a new post for other parents to see and comment on.
- Users: This tab contains a list of users that have joined the Online Community. Clicking on one of the names will allow you to send chat message to that user. These chat messages are private, and can only been seen by you and the other user.
- Chats: This last tab contains a list of all the private chat messages you have with other users.
